B A Ramsbottom

A book especially written for teens and young adults. The author draws many lessons both of encouragement and warning for young people in contemporary society. Jehoshaphat was the king who could not say "no", and so often compromised. Josiah was the king who was so tender in the fear of God, even when very young. Joash was influenced by others and seemed very godly at first but later proved a disaster. Rehoboam refused to listen to advice and so split Israel in two. Homosexuality was also an issue that had to be dealt with by the kings. Excellent reading for young and old.
